The light gradually increases in intensity before the alarm trigger time to simulate a natural sunrise. Two separate alarm groups can be configured independently. Each alarm can use one of 8 chord sounds or FM radio as the alarm tone. The snooze interval is 9 minutes, repeatable up to 5 times. Volume is adjustable across 16 levels (0–16).

The SH08 plays 24 nature sounds and white noise options at any time, independent of alarm settings. FM radio coverage is 76–108MHz with 60 preset stations.
